MINX JULIETTE Get your copy here: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/654809
When Sergeant Julie Dennison is shot and nearly drowned, she's
saved by a handsome Latino stranger who can't wait to get rid of her. A
strong psychic with telepathic abilities, she can't understand why her
messages to her sister are blocked.
Wolf is a leader of a group of rebels, working together to take
down crooked cops in Mexico. He searches for his kidnapped son, and the
man who killed his wife. He has secrets that link to Julie's abilities.
The problem is that he doesn't want to give his heart away, and Julie
refuses to fall in love.
Together they conquer the rainforest on a search for the Toxic
Tango Troop, and Julie's twin sister, Jinn. EXCERPT From beneath her lashes, Juliette Dennison watched the tall, swarthy Latino. She might have drooled over him with his head full of glossy black hair down to his shoulders if she was able to get past the excruciating pain in her chest. The way a few wet, wayward strands fell over his forehead could have distracted her, but it wasn’t going to happen then and there. He smelled fresh and clean, his skin glistening with water droplets down his bare chest. Julie nearly groaned at the picture he made of the man of her dreams. The last thing she remembered was raising her gun to defend her team, sudden pain as three bullets slammed into her chest, regardless of the Kevlar vest. Next came the battle to remain afloat in the rapids below the cliff. The biggest question she had was what had happened to her teammates? Toxic Tango Troop, (TT&T), was an elite group of American soldiers who worked undercover, getting into and out of their missions without anyone the wiser. However, this time someone had given them away, and they were ambushed the second they hit the ground running in Mexico. She figured that there was a traitor amongst them. Few people outside the team knew about them. The American government wouldn’t recognize them if they got into trouble due to the high security which made them incognito. Shirtless, her captor, or savior¾she wasn’t sure which¾stood at a small table preparing a salad. His fingers were long and smooth, strong from the look of them. None of her past lovers had the exotic look of him with his chiseled features and long black lashes. Julie heard a vehicle pulling up outside and wondered if he was going to hand her over to the authorities. Her own government wouldn’t recognize her, and the prisons in Mexico were brutal on women and men alike. Without a word the man grabbed a half bottle of tequila and raced over to the bed, dropping his shorts in one smooth move. He took a heavy swig, poured some of the tequila on the bed, and tipped the bottle over on the floor. He carefully climbed beneath the sheets and curled up next to her. “Pretend you're asleep, chica.” |
